Hello reaaaaders, yesterday I watched a play along with my lit students entitled "Beauty and the Beast". It is a play made by locals named Wild Rice and directed by Hossan Leong. The show is great, I will elaborate it further later on. Now here is the synopsis.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived a merchant called Big Boss Bong and his three daughters: Brandy, Desiree and his youngest, Beauty.

One day, Big Boss Bong steals a rose from a garden as a gift for Beauty. He’s caught red-handed by a fearsome creature called the Beast who agrees to spare his life in exchange for one of his daughters.

And thus Beauty begins her adventures at the Beast’s mansion, where she encounters the fussy nanny Ah Ma Chow Chow, the excitable cook Baba Pongteh, and the sarcastic maid, Vacula Contessa.

Will Beauty ever escape from the mansion? Why does the Beast get tongue-tied in front of Beauty? And who is this mysterious exorcist called Master Kong Tao who has vowed to purge the mansion of its ‘unnatural’ elements?

From the same team that brought you last year’s runaway hit Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, BEAUTY & THE BEAST is a spellbinding musical comedy, filled with laugh-out-loud jokes, fabulous song and dance routines, stunning costumes and sets… and singing utensils.

There are several things I love this show.

  1. The actors seems very professional. At first I thought they were lip-syncing however they did not, and sings very beautifully. Not to say their splendid exaggerating expressions and body languages.
  2. LOVE their internet memes and current popular features references like Single Ladies, iDock & iSee and Ris Low's vocabularies. Oh my gawd, the sudden pop up of single ladies makes me exploded. I can tell you all where all those memes come from, wahahaha. It's not just about the song that makes it popular, it's a video.
  3. An okay plot for a 2hrs show, there are quite abit of loopholes here and there. For example, the first exorcist mentor just disappeared and not returning at the end of the show. They should show him arriving and joining the party instead.
  4. Languages are good. Superb English vocabularies and nostalgic colloquial English of ours bring in closer understanding of the story and  improve the humor factor.
  5. Desiree is gay.
  6. The costume is pulchritudinous. Very creative.
  7. Love the live band rocking out there.
  8. Even though the stage is small, the captivation scale is huge.

Even though there are some minor errors there like having a hard time closing the door and some mic problems. It's perfectly negligible for the first time they are performing to an audience. FYI, it's their first public show of the play.

If I have to rate this show over 10, I will rate it 9/10. I strongly recommend this show for whoever wants to watch it. This is my first time watching a play and it really absorbed me. Thanks ms choo for the opportunity to watch the show. Sorry for making the whole situation awkward yesterday, because I'm the only male there mah. -.-

Dear netizens, I had already posted up the prologue of my fanfic. FYI: It was typed on the day itself and less than 30mins were used to plan and post it. Hence you might find some irregular thoughts in it. Please do comment here as it will depends whether I will continue it. The link is here.

Hello, just want to update this blog since I am feeling really bored now. Finally, I have a break from doing campcraft since wednesday to friday. It took up 24 hours of my life and it will continue on next monday. I think I were tiring myself yesterday because I had a strong headache spell. Thankfully it stopped after a few hours nap. I woke up then, and found my fingers all roughed up from the peggings and lashings. I think I will have a phobia of twines, ropes and pegs after all these trainings ended. Nonetheless, it is better than spending a day at home, facing the computer and doing meaningless things.

I want to walk out of my house. I want to breathe in the fresh air and keep my mind clear, it allows me to breathe easier too. The confinement in home is really suffocating me and my thoughts. I cannot think as proper as before, my health is worse than before. I will need to stop these from becoming worse more. And frankly speaking, I am not feeling as sane as before. I keep self-pressurizing myself, this needs to end.

Anyway, I wanted to let you all know about my views of the Thierry Henry incident recently. You can view it here.

I feel for him, it was an unfortunate situation where he needed to choose between 2 options:

1: Making his nation condemn him forever by admitting he fouled the ball. This brings me to another incident that happened long ago to Escobar. You can view it here. Surely, people don't want to see such incident happens again.

2. Making the whole world hates him and throwing away his pride as a footballer by doing what he actually did.

Personally I would choose the 2nd option. It's not about the murder part, it's about the nation's disgrace that he had to face. Imagine, will you want your own hometown turning it's back against you? Or having the whole world turning it's back against you? Tell me about your views by tagging.

For me, the world does not even matters to you when your closest place means the world to you. After all, the most painful weakness of us is to be hooked right at the back.

Birthdays

I've figured out. Rather than posting on livejournal, which has a low traffic, I will continue posting in blogger and if there are, any continuation of my fanfic I will post it there. Hence, this change of link to fit my livejournal name.

And as I had stated earlier, there will be a fanfic written originally by me. Please do comment in the tagboard to let me acknowledge that someone is going to read it. It really encourages me if you do that. I already have the prologue ready, please do reply if you see this message. The fanfic section, when ready, will be posted on my livejournal at www.chivalrousprawn.livejournal.com.

I just want to update this journal up. Hmm, I don't really have any particular topic in my mind right now. By the way, pleaseeeeeeee comment here to acknowledge me that you are reading my journal. Or else it will just be a wasted effort if I wanted to post up my fanfic prologue though. The weird thing is, I'm actually publishing this blog everywhere, plurks and msn. However, looks like my previous blog gained more traffics than ever. Nonetheless, please show more love to this journal because I'm going to update quite frequently here.

Let's see, I'm trying hard to think of a topic here. Alright, I thought of one.

The topic I wanted to post about today is "Birthday". What is birthday? Birthday is, as defined in the dictionary, "The day of one's birth". Hence I wondered, why do people give presents during birthday? Is it because of the fact that "hey, you have managed to live for 16 years of your life without dying, good job.", "oh, let's commemorate the birth day that you are welcomed into this hellish world." Or was it the fact that you just want to use birthday as an excuse to give your friends and family an opportunity to show you love and concern through the means of cakes and presents? Is there really a need for us to celebrate birthdays in this manner? If it is for the former, we already have a day and that is Thanksgiving Day. Anyway, the world has become a place where people take more than what they give. This shouldn't be the case anyway. I'm not implying that I did not commit it or whatsoever, I feel that way and I will change for that idea.

But here I'm not saying that birthday should be forgotten. In actual fact, birthdays are actually very important. Look for your application forms and important data, birthdates are essential for it. It is used for easier recognition and collection of data.

Here I may seems ironical about my words, but it actually does make sense if you think about it. My main point here is that, people, stop asking presents, gifts and wishes from your close ones on birthday. It shouldn't be used as an excuse like what I stated earlier on. If you want to use birthday well, instead go and give people instead. Imagine, if birthday boys and girls would give presents to everyone, won't you receive more in the end? To add on, giving is much happier than receiving. However, this only implies if you REALLY, need birthday as an mean for interactions. Gifts should be giving anytime when you feel like it or to appreciate something/someone.

Hence to summarize the wall of texts up there:
Birthday is important, but not an excuse for asking for gifts and wishes. There are other days for presents and gifts. Eg, Christmas and Thanksgiving Day.

And an point to take along with you: "You should give more rather than receiving more, the joy of giving makes one jubilant. People would respect you more."

Last note, there are other ways to show love and concerns. and please do leave a comment on how you feel about birthdays. Thank you for reading and <3. I'm gay. wahahahah, not.

Woo, I decided I will use this as the blog to write my fanfic. I will be using LJ for my personal bloggings. Cheers! Come back in a week's time to see the first chapter of my fanfic.

Hey yo, I'm thinking about making a fanfic, but I don't think I'm going to post it on this blog. Perhaps I would make another blog just for the fanfic. It probably needs to take alot of time to plan the plots and the character as well. Please do leave a note if you want to be involved in this fanfic, as in a character in this fanfic. Cheers, here's mudkip for you.

“Simplicity at times are complicated, we fail to seek for it. Miserably.”

Heyhey! Lower secondary students must be enjoying their holidays now. It doesn’t matter much for me because everyday seems like a holiday for me. The only thing I look forward in the holidays is to have a longer sleep time. Hoho, a good example will be today. I woke up only at 7.50am, wee! LOL. Then I went to adm mac to have my hotcakes. Some jokes there must be kept confidential, HAHAHA. Anyway, I had lessons from 10am to 3pm. Ahh, first time Chem spa perfect. Wahaha.

After school, I slept from 4pm to 7pm. The weather was chilling as it was about to rain. Coooling and shiokness is what I felt, but I was having a slight headache after waking up.

Tomorrow will have to wake up by 8am because I need to go to school to clear up the NPCC room from jumble sales leftovers. Hopefully tomorrow will be a short day, unlike today. I need afternoon naps nowadays. Ironical, I found sleeping to be a waste of time in the past. Now I’m dying to have time to sleep. Perhaps I shall invent a tent that is movable so I can sleep from time to time while having someone pulling me to my destinations. This was from Soshi anyway.
